Nail Technician Schools In Arizona – Programs & Licensing Requirements

The Arizona Board of Cosmetology is the agency in charge of cosmetology and allied services in the state. Licensing requirements for nail technicians

To Arizona Board of Cosmetology has outlined the requirements to be satisfied to practice as nail technicians in the state. To obtain a nail technician’s license in Arizona you should:

  • Have completed at least two years of high school education or its equivalent, or is at least twenty three years of age.

  • Have completed a nail technician course comprising at least six hundred hours of training in a licensed school in Arizona or in another state that had at the same of the applicant’s graduation substantially the same requirements as Arizona.
  • Passes the examination for nail technician license. The exam comprises written and practical tests

Reciprocity arrangements do exist with several other states wherein applicants who have completed similar training and passed the nail technician (or equivalent) license examination there are eligible for a nail technician license. As can be seen the state requires a high six hundred hours of school training as a requirement for nail technician license.

This school claims that it offers the best nail technician program in Arizona. Limited student intake, extensive thrust on hands-on experience and modern facilities are its standout features.

5. Charles Of Italy Beauty College, Lake Havasu City

This schools nail technician program is NACCAS certified and hence students who enroll are eligible for the US Department of Education Title IV Student Financial Assistance. The maximum completion time frame for the program is six months.

6. The Hair Nail & Skin Institute, Prescott

This school offers cosmetology and nail technician programs.  Its tuition fees are lower compared to that of the other schools.
